LSBDC to offer cash managing seminar June 23

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will offer a "Managing Cash - the Fuel that Runs Your Business" seminar Tuesday, June 23, from 6-8 p.m. in the ULM Administration Building, Room 2-105. There is a $20 per person/couple charge to attend.

According to the workshop description, "Cash is the king! If you can't pay your bills when they come due, you have a problem."

There are many sources of cash flow problems, starting with under capitalization, spending too much in or on the business and personal uses of cash. Cash inflows are another source of cash flow problems, including inadequate sales, poor pricing practices, and credit and collection problems. Cash flow also involves time issues such as when one gets cash and when one's bills are due.

All of these and other issues will be addressed in the workshop. Time will be available to address specific problems individual businesses are having.

The LSBDC at ULM offers free and confidential one-on-one counseling services to potential and existing business owners, free management and technical assistance services by appointment, and low-cost workshops and seminars to help small business people become better managers and to keep them informed about current events and changing trends in today's business world.

The LSBDC is a nationally accredited small business assistance provider with nine centers located throughout Louisiana.

Call 318-342-1224 or visit www.lsbdc.org for more information or to register for the workshop.
