ULM Pikes raise funds at Bowl for Kids’ Sake

Pi Kappa Alpha members participated in the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser Saturday, March 14, at Bayou Bowl in Monroe.

They raised $240 for the community service event; an estimated $20 million is raised nationwide. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Chapter advisor Tommy Walpole praised their philanthropic spirit. “I am extremely proud of the Pikes’ continuing involvement in our local community. It says volumes about the commitment of these college students to those in need.”

The group also won best team name for “Pikes of the Caribbean.”

Participating members were Joseph Beard of Vicksburg, Miss.; Justin Primm of Columbia; Trevor Hall of Sanger, Texas; Brandon Simpson of Columbia; Phillip Hebert of Pineville; and Dude Harrell of Clayton.
