Auditions for ULM's fall musical "Cabaret" begin Aug. 26

The ULM School of Visual Arts and Division of Theatre and Dance announces auditions for the hit Broadway musical “Cabaret,” beginning Thursday, Aug. 26.

Dance and acting auditions will be held at 6 p.m., Aug. 26, in the Brown Annex Building, Room 122, while singing auditions will be held at 4 p.m., in Spyker Theatre, Aug. 29.

Students are asked to bring dance appropriate clothing and shoes and must be prepared to perform a reading for the Aug. 26 audition, while singing auditions require that students bring sheet music and be prepared to sing, preferably something from “Cabaret”, or another Broadway selection that shows off their voice. An accompanist will be provided.

Technical workers will also be needed for costumes, scenery, lighting, sets and props. “Cabaret” will be performed Nov. 4-6 at Brown Auditorium.
