National Student Employment Week set for April 16-20 at ULM

The University of Louisiana at Monroe will be joining colleges and universities across the nation in celebrating National Student Employment Week April 16-20.

The schedule will include a walk-in student reception sponsored by the Office of Career Connections, on Tuesday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the ULM Conference Center , located on the seventh floor of the University Library.

The reception is in recognition of ULM work-study students. Refreshments and door prizes will be given away to those who attend.

Around noon, ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno, Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo and West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris will sign proclamations proclaiming the week as National Student Employment Week.

The awards for Student Employee of the Year and Student Employee Team of the Year will be presented at this time.

University departments will also plan events in their offices to celebrate the week with their student workers.
