Project Aiden
Aiden is a 16-month old little boy that needs our help. His mother is 39 years old and mentally handicapped. They live at Murray Place Apartments in Monroe.
We heard about Aiden and his situation from a group of women who reside in an assisted living facility. A small group of women take turns going over to check on Aiden and his mother and try to help out as much as they can.
Aiden is in need of educational toys. He is 16 months old, but does not speak or make many sounds because he does not have the chance for normal interactions. He is a beautiful blond haired, blue eyed boy who is perfectly fine, but he is in an environment where he is not given the opportunity to thrive. PDC would like to help Aiden by asking the students who know anyone in their family with young children who will be outgrowing educational toys soon, if they would like to donate them to Aiden. Also, any clothes would be appreciated. He is a size 2.
This is a very unfortunate situation, PDC and the students of ULM can really help out. PDC is also looking into helping his family obtain a representative from the ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens) and possibly starting some kind of fund for him through the Gerber Foundation. Any donations will be tax deductible. Please see a member of PDC with your donations.
Thank you,
Beta Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Chi
