Why did you choose the pharmacy school at ULM?

Attending the ULM School of Pharmacy has certainly been a life changing decision. During my last year of undergrad, I was searching for pharmacy schools both in and out of state. I was very hesitant on my decision of where I wanted to spend the next 4 years of my life, but that decision quickly became easier for me once I met ULM SOP’s staff and students. I met with dozens of students who had nothing but praise for their school. The entire student body is like a family, ranging from students across the state, country, and world. Upon meeting with some professors, I truly felt that they wanted to see me succeed. After my tour of the ULM SOP, I knew this was my dream school.

Why did you choose pharmacy for your profession?

Coming out of high school, I was fascinated by science, especially chemistry and physiology. I knew for sure I wanted to work in the healthcare field to get the opportunity to impact those around me, as well as being able to support a future family. Having previously worked in a pharmacy, I knew what it felt like to truly serve my community. The feeling of eventually being able to become a drug-specialist and to use my knowledge to help those around me propelled me to make my career decision, and the ULM School of Pharmacy has given me the tools to accomplish this goal.

What advice would you give to a student considering attending the ULM School of Pharmacy?

To all students considering the ULM School of Pharmacy, I know that I am receiving a quality education that is propelling me to a career full of success. While the road to and throughout pharmacy school may be rough, ULM SOP’s staff has the most knowledgeable and motivated professors that truly want you to thrive as a pharmacist. The entire pharmacy school is one big family, and that is why we take so much pride in our school.
