Parking Zones
Faculty/Staff - Reserved - Commuter - Resident - Graduate Assistant - Handicap Students - Visitors - Limited Parking - Motorcycle Parking - Bicycle Parking
Restricted parking according to specifically designated zones is in effect Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During these hours of restriction, faculty, staff, employees, and students are to park only in those zones to which they are entitled as specified by their decal.
FACULTY AND STAFF parking zones are designated and marked with appropriate markers or regular posts holding proper signs. Where possible, the street curbing of faculty and staff areas are painted RED. Faculty and staff registered vehicles used by student dependents are to be parked only in authorized student parking.
RESERVE parking areas are designed for specific authorized personnel. Only persons assigned designated reserved parking numbers are authorized to park in these areas.
COMMUTER or drive-in student parking is designated as Zone C. The Zone C parking areas are located throughout the campus on the WEST SIDE of Bayou DeSiard. All Zone C parking areas are appropriately marked by posted signs. Only commuter students (to include graduate assistants) may park in Zone C areas of campus. All commuter students may park in the Zone F areas on campus.
RESIDENT students may park only in their designated dormitory lots either Zone M (east of Bayou DeSiard) or Zone W (west of Bayou DeSiard).
HANDICAP STUDENT parking is designated at specific locations on campus. Each space is marked for handicap parking, and each of these spaces are reserved for those persons requiring the use of a wheel chair. Other handicap persons not requiring the use of a wheel chair are encouraged to park in spaces other than those marked handicapped.
VISITORS may use any available parking area except those marked as reserved or handicap parking spaces. However, visitors using ULM registered vehicles must use only those parking areas in which the vehicle is authorized to park. A visitor to the campus for extended periods of time (over night or more than one day) must obtain a guest pass from University Police. Visitors with dependents who are students must turn in any ticket they receive to the University Police Dept. on the day they receive the citation. Otherwise, the student will be charged any citations that are traced to a family vehicle.
LIMITED PARKING
areas are designated by green curbs and are for use of all without regard
to zone designation. However, parking is limited to time indicated by parking
