A. Keith Brown, Executive Director of Alumni and Community Relations

A. Keith BrownIn 2005, A. Keith Brown became the executive director of Alumni and Community Relations at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is a member of the University Cabinet.

His service at the University actually began in 1998, when he signed on as the assistant men’s basketball coach for four years. In 2002, he began as the director of governmental relations. His professional career has also included positions as a secondary coach and teacher and as a private business owner and operator.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Belhaven College.

The executive director of Alumni and Community Relations is responsible for providing leadership for the ULM Alumni Association and its Board of Directors, creating community partnerships, creating innovative plans that leverage the strengths of the global alumni network, and fostering lifelong relationships with the University.

The executive director interacts with multiple departments and organizations both on campus and off, marketing and developing opportunities as well as promoting mutual understanding and supportive relationships that communicate the University’s policies, needs and contributions while reflecting the community’s needs and concerns back.
