Bobby Staub, Director of Athletics

Bobby StaubRobert H. Staub is the director of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He has served in this capacity since 2004 and is a member of the University Cabinet.

His remarkable background in athletics began in 1984 at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. His positions there, in reverse, have included senior associate athletic director for external operations, associate athletic director, assistant athletic director, director of marketing, athletic ticket manager, and more.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.

Staub holds numerous professional memberships and positions, including in the: Sun Belt Conference Athletic Directors (chair), NCAA Division I Baseball Committee, Sun Belt Conference Baseball Committee (chair), National Association of Collegiate Director of Athletics, National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators, UAB chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ESPN Regional Joint Venture, and Collegiate Licensing Company.

The director of Intercollegiate Athletics plans, implements and administrates the operations of a 16-sport NCAA Division I athletics program – including budget development, personnel management, scheduling, and facilities management.
