Virginia Tech RibbonApril 19, 2007

Dear Colleagues,

I know we all continue to think about the tragic events that struck Virginia Tech on April 16. While it is not possible for us to fully comprehend the enormity of their pain and grief, we can show our support. Virginia Tech has invited everyone across the country to support the families of those who were lost and the entire campus community by wearing their colors this Friday, April 20.

We will join other universities across the country in wearing Virginia Tech's school colors, orange and maroon. I invite and encourage all of you to further express your compassion and condolences with this simple but heartfelt action.

In addition to wearing a maroon t-shirt, you are encouraged to pick up a maroon and orange ribbon in the Student Union Building, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. today.
