In 2009, ULM completed the process reaffirming our accreditation by SACS, the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools. SACS is recognized by the United States Department
of Education as the regional body that accredits educational institutions in this
part of the country.
SACS reaffirmation serves to assure constituents and the public of the quality and integrity of higher education institutions and programs and to help those institutions and programs improve. These outcomes are achieved through rigorous internal and external review processes during which the institution is evaluated against a common set of standards.
A major facet of reaffirmation was participation of all ULM constituents: students, faculty, staff and alumni through the University Survey. Input from those who participated in this crucial process, and the University Survey results are now available.
