Sarah Allen, communicative disorders, and her husband, Bob, are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Zoe Catherine Allen, on July 7, 2004 . Zoe was born on Sarah’s 38th birthday.

Dr. Jay Bulot, gerontology, and his wife, Lisa, are proud to announce the birth of their son, Tyler Kenneth Bulot, on January 21, 2004.

Julie Hoben, student success center, and John Davis were married on August 7, 2004 , in the Feazel Chapel at First Baptist Church in West Monroe . Julie works as an advisor in the Student Success Center and John is a chiropractor at ChiroNetwork Health Care.

Dr. Ross Keiser, psychology, and his wife, Elizabeth, were professed this summer as members of the third order of the Society of St. Pius the Tenth (SSPX). The SSPX was erected by the Vatican to preserve the traditional sacraments and priesthood. ● Otto Christian Keiser, son of Dr. and Mrs. Keiser, has been named as a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship program. Otto is a senior enrolled in the St. Thomas Aquinas home school program. He is concurrently taking classes at ULM in the Collegiate Program, and completed the Howard Hughes Medical Fellowship program this summer at ULM . He is planning to attend ULM this fall and major in biology and pre-med. He has been a volunteer at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo for the past three years.

Dr. Trent Smith, agriculture, and his wife, Betsy, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Kade Thomas Smith, on September 13, 2004 . (9lbs 2oz, 20 ½ in.)

Mrs. Jo Ann Guerriero Ussery passed away on September 11, 2004 . She had been an employee in the purchasing department for 33 years.

Sympathy to Linda Wilson, human resources, on the loss of her mother, Ruth Boone, who passed away on September 12, 2004 .
