Another Successful Year for Dr. Mehendale's Toxicology Students This
year again, Dr. Harihara Mehendale’s students won many national and
international awards and recognitions for their research papers and
presentations. Dr. Satheesh S. Anand,
a post-doctoral fellow in Dr.
Mehendale's Laboratory from March 2001 to August 2003, received a Travel
Grant Award at the 24th Annual Conference of the American
College of Toxicology in Dr. Murali Badanthadka received a Travel Grant Award at the 24th Annual Conference of the American College of Toxicology in Washington, D.C., in November 2003; and the Best Paper Award at the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), Experimental Biology (EB’04) meeting in Washington, D.C., in April 2004. As part of this Award, he was invited to attend the 54th SB’04 meetings in San Diego April 2-6, 2005, at their travel expense ($500) and to serve a one-year term on the Council of the Drug Metabolism Division of ASPET as a young scientist.
