POINT SYSTEM

SECTION 1.

The following system will be utilized in determining the recipient of the All-University Champion Award: The top two/three winners in each division or teams with a .500 record or better will advance to the playoffs for All-University points.

SECTION 2.

All-University Champion points will be awarded according to the following breakdown and based only on the results of All-University competition. Team Sports (flag-football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, etc):

1^st Place = 100 points

2^nd Place = 80 points

3^rd Place = 60 points

4^th Place = 40 points

5^th Place = 30 points

6^th Place = 20 points

7^th Place = 10 points

8^th Place = 5 points

Individual Sports (all activities not classified as team sports):

1^st Place = 80 points

2^nd Place = 60 points

3^rd Place = 40 points

4^th Place = 20 points

Doubles Play (in doubles play, persons need not be from the same organization. If a person from BCM plays with a person from Newman Club and they win 1^st Place, each organization will get 50 points; however, if partners were both from BCM, they would receive 100.

Points will be awarded to co-rec doubles activities according to each individual’s organization. Points will be:

1^st Place = 100 points

2^nd Place = 80 points

3^rd Place = 60 points

4^th Place = 40 points

SECTION 3.

Fraternity, sorority, organizations will be awarded according to the results of their ranking in their division in team sports.

Team sports – same as stated in Section 2.

Individual sports – points for individual accomplishments will be based upon the individual’s placing in university-wide competition only.
