ULM Research and Sponsored Programs

One of OSPR's responsibilities is compliance. Strict adherence to the highest compliance standards in all areas of research is OSPR's priority. This office ensures that all research and other academic activities, regardless of its funding status or source, undertaken by faculty, staff and students at ULM are compliant with federal, state and institutional regulations and applicable policies and procedures.

OSPR is a bridge between researchers and ULM's boards and faculty committees. ULM's committees and boards include Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).

These committees were established in accordance with federal requirements, which mandate that only these entities can make determinations on research projects involving human and vertebrate animal subjects, and biosafety materials.

In addition, our office facilitates educational programs for faculty, staff and students. For more information on any of the areas of research compliance, please visit individual web pages.
