ULM's DREAM division along with Dr. Ava Pugh, professor in curriculum, instruction, and leadership in ULM's College of Education and Human Development, collaborated to secure a NASA grant for $22,500 grant to fund academic outreach programs at ULM as part of NASA's Summer of Innovation.

ULM Associate Professors of Pharmacy Dr. Kaddoumi (left) and Dr. El Sayed have been awarded a combined $272,000 by the Louisiana Board of Regents for research and equipment to enhance pharmaceutical research.

Since 2006, Carmel Hill has provided funds for more than 100 ULM interns to participate in math and reading literacy interventions with local PK-12 students during the school day and during after school programs. In addition, the Fund pledged $25,000 to supply the College of Education and Human Development Multicultural Library with books, which are part of the ULM Library system.

Dr. Lynn, Clark, Dr. Ava Pugh, professors of curriculum, instruction, and leadership; Dr. Anne Case Hanks, assistant professor of atmospheric sciences; and Dr. Joydeep Bhattacharjee, associate professor of biology, have obtained their third year of funding from The Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program (LaSIP), a division of the Louisiana Board of Regents for a STEM teacher professional development program, Out Standing in a TEAM.

The United States Patent & Trademark Office recently awarded the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy a patent for a new anti-cancer drug designed to control prostate cancer metastasis. The drug was developed by Dr. Khalid El Sayed (left) and Dr. Girish Shah, professors in ULM's basic pharmaceutical sciences department.

The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) and ULM officials announce a $3 million investment in hazard mitigation grant funding for a Doppler radar system on the ULM campus.

ULM F&A/Indirect Cost rate is 41%- ULM has a new F&A/Indirect Cost rate of effective July 1, 2013.

ULM Fringe Benefit rates for 2013-2014 are 37% full-time, 29% part-time and 0% student workers and GA's.

Effective January 2013, Dr. Leonard Clark has been named Authorized Institutional Representative for submission of proposals and signing authority for contracts, MOUs, material transfers, agreements, and subawards/subcontracts.
