342.1479 Biographical Sketch: Ivona Jukic began her career in the field of research administration and grant management in 2006. Ms. Jukic comes to ULM with extensive background in international relations and diplomacy. Starting as a translator for the army in the wake of 1996 Dayton Peace negotiations, she soon assumed the head interpreter position within the commanding general's cabinet. From there, she rose to become the Head Interpreter, Chief of Protocol, and Senior Advisor for International Relations to the Bosnian Secretary of Defense (DoD). While at DoD, she also served as the President's chief military interpreter, as well as, the advisor on military protocol and military international relations. She was the main DoD point of contact for all NGOs, GOs, and the diplomatic core. Ivona is a polyglot with active and passive knowledge of Croatian, German, Spanish, Latin, and English.
