ULM Research and Sponsored Programs

"Academic Misconduct" is defined as
  • fabrication,
  • falsification,
  • plagiarism, or
  • other practices that seriously deviate from those that are commonly accepted within the academic community for proposing, conducting, or reporting research.
Such acts seriously compromise the integrity of the University and shall be dealt with in a manner which will assure any funding source that any and all extramurally funded research activities conducted at The University of Louisiana at Monroe are always subject to the highest standards of professional ethics. (ULM Faculty Handbook, 2007, p. 40)

If you have a question about the legality of any activity, you should seek guidance from your supervisor, director, department head, dean, or other senior adminstrator.

If you have knowledge of a law, regulation, or insitutional policy being violated contact immediatelly one of the aforementioned people or call ULM Compliance Hotline at (318) 342-1478 to present a compliance related question or report, in good faith, a suspected violation. These calls are considered confidential and all reasonable efforts will be made to protect the caller against retaliation.
