The University of Louisiana at Monroe is Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) , this includes the Sociology and Political Science BA Programs.

The Gerontology Master's Program, Long Term Care Administration Concentration is accredited by the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB). ULM Gerontology is the first graduate program in the United States to be NAB Accredited.
