GENERAL INFORMATION
The Soil-Plant Analysis Laboratory was established at Northeast Louisiana University in1979. It has been our constant goal to respond to the analytical needs of each of our clients, including individuals, industry, and government, in a professional, accurate, and ethical manner.
Please include the following information with samples submitted for analysis:
- 1) Name, address, and telephone number of the person who should receive the analytical report.
- 2) Your sample identification number or name.
- 3) Analysis desired including detection limits desired.
- 4) Date, time, and location of sampling.
- 5) Type of turnaround desired with respect to normal or rush.
- 6) Name, address, and telephone number of contact person for invoicing.
- 7) Purchase order number, check, or contract number.
Chain of custody forms are supplied upon request.
SAMPLING & PRESERVATION
Specific information is supplied in the "preservation requirements" section of this schedule. Please follow recommendations as specified, since the integrity of sample results may be directly affected by the sample quality. Please contact the lab at (318)342-1948 if you are uncertain in any way as to proper sample handling techniques. If samples are not preserved prior to shipment or delivery to our lab, please indicate, for they can be preserved upon arrival.
Holding times refer to the time limit between the actual sampling and the time at which analysis must begin. Please keep this in mind when deciding on the method of shipment.
Samples may be delivered to us at Soil-Plant Analysis Laboratory, C&NSB Room 117, NLU Station, Monroe, LA 71209, from Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Please call for information with reference to closure during holiday periods.
SERVICES
Rush services are available upon request at a 100% surcharge. In these cases, results are reported by telephone, and printed reports are also mailed. Analyses may be repeated at the client's request, but the client will be billed for both the original test and the repeat test if the original results are confirmed.
REPORT DELIVERY
All test results are confidential between the lab and client. Data will not be shared with any other person unless specifically requested by the client in writing or unless information is subpoenaed.
Two copies of each standard report are mailed to the client. Reporting by fax is available upon request for an additional fee of $5.00. In the event that original reports are lost by the client, additional copies are available for an additional fee of $5.00 per report.
All reports and worksheets will be housed at the lab for at least five years.
BILLING
Clients are directly responsible for payment. No third party billing is accepted unless that party submits a written request in which they agree to be responsible for payment.
Purchase order numbers may be submitted with samples. We will also bill to contract numbers for clients who have current contracts with the lab. All other samples should be submitted with payment, or payment must be made before data is released.
All prices listed are for single sample analysis. Discounts may apply for multiple samples.
