Justice Seekers: Youth Services Planning Board
- The Youth Services Planning Board and the SSRL are partnering to complete research targeting youth and families who are in or at risk of entering the criminal /juvenile justice or foster care systems of the 4th judicial district, which comprises Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes.
- The goal of this research is to create a community resource guide that would assist families, community agencies, and state agencies in locating services provided to those at risk in this geographic area.
- Upon completion of the research guide, the SSRL will take the survey information gathered to assess gaps as perceived by the selected community agencies and publish this information into a paper to assist governmental agencies in tackling the apparent gaps. This research could lead to the development of new programs or the improvement of those in existence throughout the community.
- Overall, the goal of the SSRL is to assist the Youth Services Planning Board in effectively increasing the organizational capacity of the programs providing services, in order to ensure consistent, appropriate linkage between those who need the services and those offering the services.
