Separating from my twin was one of the toughest choices that I have ever made, but ULM has helped me gain a greater sense of independence and learn more about facing and conquering any challenges that have come my way.

I am a member of the ULM Honors Program, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Phi Tau Gamma. I also volunteer at Saint Vincent dePaul Community Pharmacy. I also knit and play ultimate frisbee with my friends.

One of my professional goals is to co-own and maintain a community clinic with my siblings that will help those who could not otherwise afford health care. There is a closer pharmacist-patient interaction in community pharmacies, and I want to be able to talk with patients about their medicines and see what I can do to make their lives easier. Because this community has done so much for me, I want to give back.

My favorite spot on campus is the Quad. It is surrounded by beauty, from the waterfall to the new buildings. During the winter holidays, the lights and the gigantic Christmas tree make the Quad the perfect place to relax and knit.

All of my professors have taught me valuable lessons that will help me in life, but two of my favorite professors are Dr. Patrick Hebert and Dr. John Sutherlin, my Honors Speech and Social Science professors respectively. Dr. Hebert taught me to eloquently, intelligently, and passionately speak my mind, and Dr. Sutherlin has educated me on the importance of standing up for my ideas.

Joining the Honors Program has been my favorite memory at ULM so far. I have met some great friends and wonderful professors who are not only excited about the classes that they teach, but have the unique ability to transfer their excitement to us.

Britney's ULMI chose ULM because of its great Honors program, nationally-recognized College of Pharmacy, beautiful renovations, and friendly atmosphere.

Great Education, Good Times, Bright Future
