I am an only child.

After I graduate from ULM in December of 2008, I plan to attend Physical Therapy school and obtain a Doctoral Physical Therapist Degree.

My mom and I first visited ULM during an unscheduled visit one summer day. It was then that I met Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Greene in the admissions office. They were so helpful and extrememly nice. Even though I just come down to look around, they gave me the works: tour, gift bag, t-shirt, and answered every question that I had. They even set up appointments for me to meet the deans. I knew that was a sign and that this was where I needed to attend college.

When I first enrolled at ULM, I did not know a soul, which forced me to go out and meet people. Since then, I have met so many incredible people from various backgrounds, and I have learned so much about different cultures from all over the state, country, and even around the world. This increased my ability to network with others who then helped me in my daily life and prepared me for my professional career. ULM leadership roles have helped me manage my time, take care of myself and others, and ensure situations are resolved smoothly.

One of my favorite spots on campus is the Activity Center. It is a place where my friends and I can relieve the stress from school, cut loose and have a good time. Quite a few of the intramural events are held there, and that is something else I enjoy doing at ULM.

One professor who I will always remember is Dr. James David Williamson, my Psychology 439 Statistics professor. Each day, he came in whistling a tune. He sang everything -- from oldies to one of his personal favorites by rapper Lil' Kim. He was great, and he always created a positive learning environment for us.

Matt's ULM graphicIt's too difficult to pick just one favorite memory at ULM. Each day I make more memories with the awesome people I have met here, and I will keep that with me forever.

Great Education, Good Times, Bright Future
