One thing that most people do not know about me is that I am deathly afraid of snakes. Ironically enough I have seen more snakes living in Monroe than I have seen in my entire life.

I have a sister who is three years older than me.

I chose ULM because of its atmospheric science program.

When I moved to Monroe to attend ULM, I did not know anyone. Everyone at ULM is so friendly and being on your own in a new town is easier when you are surrounded by wonderful people! Attending ULM has helped me become more independent and has provided me with the tools I will need for my future endeavors.

I am a member of the American Meteorological Society and Kappa Mu Epsilon.

I plan to attend graduate school and study severe weather and chase tornadoes. I love the outdoors, and I love learning about the forces of nature.

My favorite spot on ULM's campus is the library. I love sitting near the windows because they provide a beautiful view of the bayou when I take my study breaks.

Dr. Anne Case-Hanks of the Atmospheric Science Program has had an impact on me. She makes learning fun, and her interest in the subject matter fuels her student's enthusiasm. She is a great role model for women in sciences.

Rebecca's ULM graphicMy favorite memories from ULM are the lasting friendships I've built through the years.
