Vision and Mission Statements

The University Planning Council (UPC) strives to provide the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s leadership with informed guidance useful in achieving the institution’s vision of excellence in student-centered learning.

The mission of the UPC is to stimulate the intellectual discussion of ideas that will assist in positively shaping the institution’s present and future development. The Council effectively integrates the communication and exchange of ideas among leadership from across the university, and functions as an action group to collect and evaluate information and make recommendations that inform the decision-making process.
