2016 Panelist: Melissa Ducote

Melissa Ducote is the Director of Human Resources for the University of Louisiana Monroe.

She is responsible for providing leadership and management in employment services, benefit services, performance management, employee relations, classification and compensation, and professional development and learning.

Melissa has worked in the Human Resources profession for over 18 years with industry experience in staffing, ecommerce technology, and higher education. 

Prior to joining ULM as the Director of Human Resources, she served as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Louisiana Delta Community College.

Melissa is an active community volunteer.  She has served on her local Northeast Louisiana Society for Human Resources Management board; she also served as a volunteer for the Cancer Foundation League for several years, and served on their board for two years as Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer. 

Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ashford University.

She received her Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute and her SHRM Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resource Management.
