If you are currently a student at ULM and interested in any of the professions listed below the caduceus, you should familiarize yourself with the information below. Most medically oriented professional schools require a personal statement and letters of reference among their procedure for admittance. ULM has an advisory committee comprised of faculty members from across campus that will work with interested students to prepare them for the interview process. First, students will provide information to the committee, along with the personal statement they will be sending to their schools of interest. Then the committee will set up an interview with each student. During the interview, students will be asked various questions, including but not limited to, questions about their scholastic career, outside interests and of course, their desire and motivation to enter professional school. The result of this interview will be a committee reference, which is often preferred by professional schools. The interview process at ULM begins in September and continues through October each academic year for students applying regular admission. We will hold another set of interviews in the Spring for students wishing to apply early decision. To initiate the interview process, please access the Informational Flier, Applicant Form, Faculty Evaluation and Student Release forms on the left. The informational flier contains directions for completion of the other forms. |
