Howard points out wavy lines and a buffalo hoof coming from under the right, bottom edge of the tipi. Since wavy lines are a sign of the sacred, to him this means something like "sacred buffalo track." He supposes that the "Fish" part of "Buffalo-Holy-Fish" name is an error in interpretation. |
