Tracy BedgoodTracy Bedgood teaches theory fundamentals and is on the staff of the Sound of Today marching band at the University of Louisiana Monroe. Bedgood has been a member of the ULM faculty since 2017 and previously was on the staff of Jones County Junior College, Centenary College, Bossier Parish Community College, and Belhaven University. He holds degrees from Louisiana Tech University, and Northwestern State University of Louisiana, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Bedgood has been a student of Richard Perry, J. Mark Thompson, Scott Watson, Andrew Lankford, and Roger Jones. He has participated in lessons and masterclasses that included such noted musicians as John Stevens, Chester Schmitz, and Roger Bobo. As a tubist, he has performed with several ensembles including: the Mobile, Meridian, Gulf Coast, and Louisiana Philharmonic orchestras. Bedgood has also appeared with Symphonia, America’s premiere tuba euphonium ensemble. At ULM, he has performed with Black Bayou Brass, the resident faculty brass trio. Mr. Bedgood continues to perform and teach at a wide variety of levels across the southeastern USA.
