Dress Code
- No
wind pants, sweatpants, scrubs, or pajamas.
- Jeans
may be worn as long as there are no holes, frays, or tears.
- Dress
capri pants are acceptable as long as they have no holes, frays, or
tears.
- Skirts
can be worn as long as they are knee length or longer.
- Sweatshirts
and T-shirts that are ULM
affiliated can be worn, including those that advertise nursing class, an
organization, or an event. No crude messages, such as alcohol, sexual
innuendo, or inappropriate logos.
- No
spaghetti straps, halter tops, tube tops, or showing of the
mid-drift. No low cut tops (i.e. no
cleavage)
- Polo
or collared shirts are acceptable.
Tasteful, sleeveless shirts are acceptable.
- Fleece
jackets are acceptable.
- Undergarments
should not be visible at all. This
includes wearing an undershirt if the undergarment can be seen through the
shirt.
- Tennis
shoes can be worn as long as they are clean. No beach thongs. Dress sandals are acceptable.
- No
hats or head scarves, no excessive jewelry, no visible tattoos. No visible body piercing other than on ear
lobes.
- Keep
hair and facial hair properly groomed.
Enforcement:
If any of the dress
code items are broken, faculty have the option of sending a student home from
class, to give a warning for the first
offense or to ask the student to see the Director of the program.
