Welcome to the University of Louisiana at Monroe Master of Occupational Therapy Program

About the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to Master of Occupational Therapy  (MOT) Bridge Program

The program is a 2.5-year hybrid (combination distance/onsite) program. Applicants to the OTA to MOT bridge program must be certified as Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), have obtained a bachelor’s degree, and meet the pre-requisites prior to application to the program. We do not require a specific bachelor’s degree as long as you take the pre-requisites listed on our Admission & Application Requirements page. We recommend that you choose a bachelor’s degree that is appealing to you and meets your needs.

All courses require both online and on-campus components. Students will begin participating in online course instruction on the first day of class each semester. See University Calendar for specific dates.

Your courses will meet onsite at ULM as follows (NOTE: These are MANDATORY class
meetings. Make-up dates are not possible):

   Year 1 Fall Semester, August 28-29, 2021 and November 1-5, 2021.

Year 1 Spring Semester, your courses will meet onsite at ULM March 28- April 1, 2022.

Year 1 Summer Semester, your courses will meet onsite at ULM June 20-24, 2022.

Year 2 Fall Semester, your courses will meet onsite at ULM October 31- November 4, 2022.

Year 2 Spring Semester, because you will be completing your Level I Fieldwork hours (including your Mental Health Level I FW that is completed in Monroe, LA), you will be coming onto campus for three WEEKENDS instead of one full week. Those TENTATIVE dates are: February 4-5, 2023; March 4-5, 2023; and April 1-2, 2023.

*NOTE: ALL on-campus sessions throughout the program are MANDATORY. Failure to meet the on-campus class schedule will result in inability to progress in the program.
