Pandemic Guidelines for RSO's

Student Life and Leadership have missed you on campus and are looking forward to the start of the fall semester and your return! In recent weeks, our team have worked together to establish the Pandemic Guidelines for Student Organizations during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

We ask RSO’s to embrace these guidelines out of respect and care for one another in order to safeguard the health of our community. This will require flexibility, innovation and a willingness to engage whole-heartedly but differently in the ULM community under pandemic conditions. AND… there has never been a more important time for the relationships, connections, and engagement that your organization fosters. Some specific information and action items as you prepare for your organization’s return under pandemic conditions:

We know you will have questions - so we will be hosting three zoom Q&A sessions in the next week in order to support your needs. You can also schedule an individual meeting with myself or any other staff member in SLL.

Student Organization COVID-19 Zoom Q&A’s with SLL:

Tuesday, August 11th from 2pm-3pm

Wednesday, August 12th from 2pm-3pm

Schedule an individual meeting

Involvement in our 120+ Recognized Student Organizations is at the heart of the ULM experience. It is going to look different but SLL is committed to supporting you as we navigate the upcoming semester. Thank you in advance for all you do to support ULM, your fellow students, and your student organization.

You probably have questions! As we compile these questions, you can check out the FAQ page or email studentlife@ulm.edu to set up a meeting.

Student Organization Pandemic Response Plan Guidelines/Prompts

RSO’s will be asked to follow the established Pandemic Guidelines for Student Organizations during the current pandemic. We are asking your organization to embrace these guidelines out of respect and care for one another in order to safeguard the health of our community.

This will require flexibility, innovation and a willingness to engage whole-heartedly but differently in the ULM community under these pandemic conditions.

These prompts have been created to support individual RSO’s in creating their Pandemic Response Plan. They are designed to help the leadership of the organization to identify a plan for organization operations during the current pandemic.

All RSO’s will be asked to construct the foundation of your group’s plan and share key priorities for their organization through this Wingspan form

(form must be completed by 5pm Monday, August 31st).

STEP 1: As a leadership team, review the Pandemic Guidelines for Student Organizations.

STEP 2: Consider the prompts below while drafting your organization plan. Seek feedback from members.

STEP 3: Document your plan and share with members.

STEP 4: Submit the Wingspan form by 5pm Monday, September, 1, 2020
