General Education Committee

Charge:
The General Education Committee (GEC) is responsible for the quality of the core curriculum through (1) oversight of the program’s requirements and criteria and (2) the assessment of intended student learning for continuous improvement. The committee refers any recommended revisions in the core curriculum to the University Curriculum Committee (UCC) for approval and recommendation to the VPAA. The GEC Chair represents the committee on the UCC as an ex-officio member; proposed curricular changes affecting the core must be approved by the GEC, which reviews them concurrently with the UCC. updated 10/27/2020
