ULM Student Art on Display at Wesley Art Gallery

The Wesley Art Gallery in the Northeast Campus Ministry facility is currently showing a One-person Award Exhibition in Sculpture by Jessica Head of Grayson, a senior sculpture major in the Department of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Ms. Head is the final award-winning student artist to mount an exhibition at the Wesley Gallery during the current academic year. Such award exhibitions are prizes presented at the annual Arts Quest, a juried competition for ULM students.

On display are non-objective wood relief assemblage sculpture, and portrait stained plaster free-standing sculpture. In support of this major statement are glazed wheelthrown stoneware utilitarian ceramics, landscape silverprint photographs, still life pencil drawings, and wood and fabric covered hand-made books.

Located at 112 Delano Drive on the ULM campus, the Wesley Art Gallery is open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Ms. Head's sculpture will be on view though May 8.
