ULM Student Social Work Association To Host The 5th Annual Hunt For Humanity

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Student Social Work Association will be hosting its Fifth Annual Scavenger Hunt for Humanity on April 20, 2002.

Four- person teams, composed of volunteers, will spend approximately three hours on Saturday afternoon collecting donated items to be later distributed to community service agencies. Each team (4 persons, previously registered at Stubbs 217, includes a $10.00 registration fee) will be given a list of items previously requested by area community service agencies, however, any and all items will be accepted and distributed to the appropriate agencies. The requested items range from food, clothing, office supplies, toiletries, computers, vehicles, shoes, toys, to children's books, etc. The participants who gather the most "stuff" will be given prizes donated from area merchants.

Teams will assemble at the BCM by 11:30 a.m. and will hunt from noon until 2:00 p.m. All participants will be given a free shirt and a meal and an invaluable opportunity to help further the reputation of our University while helping the less fortunate in our community. Registration forms are available in Stubbs 217. The hunt is open to everyone.

All media welcome.
