ULM Performing Arts Series Presents ART

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Performing Arts Series Presents ART at the Monroe Civic Center Theatre on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.

Having won Paris's Moliere Award for Best Author and London's Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy, ART continues to prove its international appeal as evidenced by its translation into 20 languages. Produced on Broadway in 1998 by Sean Connery, among others, this comedy-drama garnered the Tony award for Best Play and the NY Drama Critics' Circle's Best Play award. According to the New York Post, "ART is that rarity, a popular Boulevard play that actually has something to say and is devilishly witty and stunningly adroit about saying it."

Student advance tickets for the play are available Monday through Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the 6th floor of the Library, Suite #605. Student tickets are free with I.D., escort tickets are $10.00.

Season tickets for the remaining two productions, ART and Annie Get Your Gun, are available for $30.00 per ticket. Contact the ULM Performing Arts Series Office at 342-3605 for more information.
