ULM's Chautauqua Nexus to Discuss Sexual Violence

The Chautauqua Nexus at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will meet this Friday, October 25th from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on the sixth floor of the library to address the topic of Sexual Violence.

Caroline Cascio, of the YWCA, John Drew, reserve police officer and self-defense instructor, and Bill McCown, Clinical Psychologist at ULM, will facilitate the discussion using a panel format. The primary issues for consideration are: what a woman needs to do if raped, how to prevent it from happening, and how these problems are mitigated.

These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual and cultural exchanges. The Chautauqua Nexus usually meets once a week. Everyone is invited.
