New Vice President For University Advancement Joins ULM

The University of Louisiana at Monroe has hired a new Vice President for University Advancement.

The new Vice President is Dr. Don Skelton. Skelton's responsibilities will include overseeing the Office of Public Affairs, Alumni Relations, and University Advancement and Development. Skelton received his Doctorate of Education in Professional Studies at Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. in 1994. His previous position was Vice President for University Advancement at Delta State University in Mississippi.

President of ULM, Dr. James Cofer, says, "Don Skelton has valuable experience within the advancement and public affairs divisions of a university. The experience he built in Mississippi should carry over and he will be a driving force in improving these divisions at ULM. We are fortunate to have Don on our team."

Skelton's first day at ULM will be Aug. 1.
