Press Conference for Ben Stein Dec. 2 at ULM

The location and time for the press conference for ULM guest speaker Ben Stein has changed. It will be in the Media Room (#651) on the 6th floor of the ULM library.

The conference, still slated for Friday, Dec. 2, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Photography will be allowed during the press conference and is encouraged during the luncheon for local high school students, which begins at noon on the seventh floor of the library. Ben Stein will speak for about 10 minutes beginning at 11:30 a.m.

If any media is interested in conducting personal interviews (about 3-5 minutes long) with Stein after that, please call Laura Harris, interim communications officer, at 342-5447.

Stein’s lecture is part of the James E. Cofer, Sr. Presidential Lyceum Series Friday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

Stein will visit with local high school students at noon, following the press conference. This luncheon will give local high school students an opportunity to meet Stein.

The ticket box office will open at 6 p.m. at Brown Auditorium. Tickets for Stein’s evening lecture are on sale at Indian Bank. All seating is reserved. For ticket orders call 318-342-5134 or for more information call 318-342-5132.

Patron tickets are $50 and include a private cocktail reception and book signing with Ben Stein from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the 7th floor of the library.

Students, faculty and staff may purchase tickets for $10 with a limit of two per person. Community tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at http://www.ce.ulm.edu/. Click on Special Events under Leisure Learning.
