Multiple Chautauqua Nexus Events Scheduled

There will be two Chautauqua Nexus events at ULM this week. On Thursday, October 20 at 7:15 p.m., the topic discussed will be "The Struggle for Peace in Northern Ireland." Shirley Owens is the speaker, and the discussion will be held at the 6th Floor of the ULM Library.

On Friday, October 21, Marsha McGee will speak about "Affluenza," a look at one of the greatest social maladies of our time: over consumption and materialism. The presentation will occur at Stubbs Hall, Room 244 and begins at 5:15 p.m.

Two additional Chautauqua Nexus events will also occur next week. On Thursday, October 27 at 7:15 p.m., Jo Galle will speak about "What Every Southerner Needs to Know About Faulkner: Focus on Absalom Absalom." The discussion will be held at the 6th Floor of the ULM Library.

On Friday, October 28, the topic will be "Basics of Financial Planning and Basic Concepts of the Investment Market." Mike Parker is the speaker, and the discussion will occur at the 6th Floor of the ULM Library at 5:15 p.m.
