ULM SBDC to offer SBA Patriot Express Loan Program for Veterans Nov. 13

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Small Business Development Center will present a free workshop, titled “SBA Patriot Express Loan Program for Veterans,” during Veterans Week. The workshop will occur Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans’ Home.

Patriot Express is a loan program designed for military community members including veterans, service-disabled veterans, active-duty service members participating in the military’s Transition Assistance Program, Reservists and National Guard members, current spouses of any of the above, and the widowed spouse of a service member or veteran who died during service, or of a service-connected disability.

This new Patriot Express Loan is offered by SBA’s network of participating lenders nationwide and features SBA’s fastest turnaround time for loan approvals. Loans are available up to $500,000. The Patriot Express Loan can be used for most business purposes, including start-up, expansion, equipment purchases, working capital, inventory or business-occupied real-estate purchases.

Topics of discussion include program information, loan eligibility and requirements, and how to access Patriot Loans. This workshop is co-sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs.
