SBDC presents “Improving Your Business Cash Flow” seminar Oct. 9

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Small Business Development Center will provide an “Improving Your Business Cash Flow” seminar Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the ULM Administration Building, Room 2-105. There is a $20 cost.

There are many sources of cash flow problems starting with under capitalization, spending too much in or on the business, and personal uses of cash. Cash inflows are another source of cash flow problems, including inadequate sales, poor pricing practices, credit and collection problems. Cash flow also involves time issues such as when a person gets cash and when their bills are due. All these and other issues will be addressed in the workshop.

Time will be available to address specific problems individual businesses are having.

These opportunities are part of the LSBDC’s continuing education program, as it provides quality, no-fee, confidential, one-on-one counseling services to potential and existing business owners; provides no-fee management and technical assistance services by appointment; conducts workshops and seminars to help small business people become better managers and to keep them informed about current events and changing trends in today’s business world; and maintains a resource library which includes statistical data, census figures, SBA publications, and a variety of other information.

Preregistration is encouraged. For more information, contact the LSBDC at ULM at (318) 342-1224, or go online at: www.lsbdc.org.
