ULM Recreational Services to offer children fun and active times this summer

The Department of Recreational Services, located in the Activity Center on the University of Louisiana at Monroe campus, will again offer the Summer Recreation Program for children ages 5-12.

Parents may choose to register their children for the entire 10-week program or only part of it. The program will operate Monday through Friday, from June 1 – Aug. 7 this summer.

Registration packets are available in the Activity Center front office from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and on Fridays from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. When weeks are selected at registration, that spot will be held and payment will be required regardless of attendance.

Payments are made bi-weekly or monthly preceding the child’s participation. No cancellations will be accepted per the participation contract.

Children registered for the program may be dropped-off beginning at 7:15 a.m. and picked-up by 5:45 p.m. each day. Structured activities will begin at 8:30 a.m., end at 4:30 p.m., and will include sports, games, art projects, group exercise, field trips and much more!

Space is limited, and positions will be filled in order of receipt of application, along with the $50 non-refundable registration fee and payment of the first two weeks the child is registered.

The $160 two-week, non-refundable participation fee ($80 total per week) includes all activity and supply costs.

Contact the Activity Center at 318-342-5305 for more information.
