Three finalists move forward in ULM Presidential Search

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Presidential Search Committee selected three finalists today after spending several days on the Monroe campus interviewing semi-finalists.

Nick Bruno, Peter Fos and Thomas Moore will interview in Baton Rouge with the University of Louisiana System Board next week before a new president is selected.  The fourth semi-finalist, J. William Berry, withdrew his candidacy.

Although a specific schedule and agenda for next week's meeting is yet to be finalized, interviews with the finalists will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22.  After public interviews with each finalist are conducted, the Board will deliberate and select the next ULM President.

"We were very impressed with the candidates but also very impressed with the ULM campus and community.  We hope some of the faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members that participated this week can join us in Baton Rouge and continue to provide input for the finalist interviews and decision of the Board," said UL System President Randy Moffett.

Nick J. Bruno is Vice President for Business and Finance at the University of Louisiana System.  He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.
