ULM’s Sebren presents check at televised event for muscular dystrophy

ULM Student Government Association President Brook Sebren did all but take a break over the Labor Day weekend.

As undergraduate chairman of Kappa Alpha, the Rayville-native returned from presenting a check during the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon in Las Vegas.

In conjunction with all Kappa Alpha National Orders, Sebren donated $185,336 to the help combat muscular dystrophy during the televised event, which airs every Labor Day.
Throughout their 35-year partnership, Kappa Alpha’s National Orders have raised more than $2.6 million in donations, according to Sebren.

Sebren said it’s not often members get to see the results of their organization’s hard work, and visiting with the families inspired him to continue giving back.
