ULM Holiday Celebration ushers in fun and festivities Nov. 29

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Holiday Celebration is scheduled for 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 in Scott Plaza.

The public and campus family is invited to attend this fun-filled holiday celebration sponsored by the ULM Student Government Association. Refreshments are provided.

Starting around 4:45 p.m., Santa Claus will visit the plaza, arriving on the Acemobile and ready with treats for the children. Ace the Warhawk will also be lending a friendly claw in the festivities.

ULM President Nick J. Bruno will flip the switch for the annual tree and candle lighting ceremony.

The choirs of the ULM Choral Department, conducted by Dr. Deborah Chandler and Assistant Choral Director Jarrod Richey, will join forces with the ULM Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Derle Long in a program of holiday favorites.

Adding to the entertainment, ULM’s Hawkline will perform a Rockettes-inspired routine.

The event follows the annual Employee Holiday Reception in the ULM Conference Center from 3–5 p.m., hosted by the president and First Lady Linda Bruno.
