ULM students, faculty and community to exhibit talent during ceremony April 25

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's College of Education and Human Development will present the 11th Annual College Showcase and Academic Convocation at 4 p.m., Thursday, April 25, in the ULM Conference Center, located on the seventh floor of the ULM Library.

ULM students from the areas of curriculum, instruction and leadership, behavioral sciences and kinesiology will display and demonstrate their research projects during the showcase.

The public is invited to the event and refreshments will be served.

The Academic Convocation will follow at 5 p.m., and will honor students, faculty, alumni, and community partners.

Prestigious awards will be presented by Kappa Delta Phi, A+PEL, Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges & Universities, and Louisiana Education Consortium (LEC).

Dr. Ava Pugh, professor of curriculum, instruction and leadership, and retired ULM faculty member Dr. Beverly Flowers-Gibson, founded the event to show and honor local talent.

"This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their excellent work and ideas," Pugh said.

"Members of the community, organizations, students, alumni, and faculty deserve recognition for their outstanding contributions."
