Fauna

Mammals (Class Mammalia)

Although located in an urban area next to an interstate highway, Restoration Park appears to have a fairly diverse mammalian fauna. As with the other groups of vertebrate animals, no formal surveys have been conducted. However, several taxa of mammals have already been observed in the park including white-tailed deer, rabbits, fox squirrels, opossums, voles, cotton mouse, harvest mouse, raccoons, skunks, and beavers. Many other species of small mammals, especially rodents, will probably be added to the list as surveys are conducted at the park.
