About Accounting...
The ULM Department of Accounting seeks to serve ULM students, as well as the university's professional, business, and governmental constituencies, and the community as a whole. In fulfilling its mission, the department gives priority to excellence in teaching while emphasizing service and intellectual contributions.

What you can do with this degree:
Advisory Services, Assurance Services, Corporate/General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Auditing, Governmental Auditing, Hospital Accounting, Income Tax Preparation, Internal Auditing, Investigative Auditing, Management Consulting, Managerial Accounting, Personal Financial Planning, Revenue Agency

Our graduates have gone on to work at
CPA Firms, Corporate Finance Departments, Government Agencies, Non-profit Organizations, Self-Employment

Where are our faculty's interests?
Every faculty member maintains membership in professional accounting associations. Nearly every faculty member is certified in at least one professional accounting specialization. Those certifications include certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, certified management accountant, and certification in Quickbooks. Research interests of the faculty overall include international financial reporting standards, taxation, ethics, pedagogy, entrepreneurial accounting/finance, and accounting technology.
