Commencement ceremonies: ULM summer, fall 2021 graduates to receive diplomas on Dec. 11

The University of Louisiana Monroe will host four commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 11, for the summer and fall 2021 graduates. The ceremonies are by college and will be in Fant-Ewing Coliseum: 8:30 a.m. - College of Health Sciences, 11 a.m. - College of Arts, Education, and Sciences, 2 p.m. - College of Pharmacy, and 4 p.m. - College of Business and Social Sciences.

Important Dates for Fall 2021


2 Aug - Deadline to apply for admission to Graduate School for Fall full term and 1st 8-week session (some programs may have earlier deadlines) This includes all required documentation
10 Aug - Orientation for New Graduate Students - Welcome 
12 Aug - Orientation for New Graduate Students - Sessions
16 Aug
- Classes begin for Fall full term and 1st 8-week session
20 Aug
- Final date for adding a class for 1st 8-weeks and full-term Fall classes
1 Sept – Priority Deadline to apply for a Spring Graduate Assistantship.  All documents should be submitted to your program.
13 Sept - Regular application period opens for May commencement
17 Sept
- Final date for removing "i" grades
20 Sept
- Final date for dropping courses or resigning from the University for 1st 8-week session with a "w" grade
27 Sept - Deadline to apply for admission to Graduate School for Spring 2nd 8-week session (some programs may have earlier deadlines). This includes all required documentation
4 Oct - Final date for filing field study, thesis, or dissertation with Graduate Advisory Committees
11 Oct - Classes begin for 2nd 8-week session
15 Oct - Final date for adding a class for 2nd 8-weeks
21Oct - Deadline for submission of comprehensive exam results to the Graduate School (thesis)
25 Oct - Final date for filing field study, thesis, or dissertation with Graduate School
25 Oct - Final date for dropping courses or resigning from the University for Fall full term with a "w" grade
16 Nov - Final date for dropping courses or resigning from the University for 2nd 8-week session with a "w" grade
2 Dec - Deadline for submission of comprehensive exam results to the Graduate School (non-thesis)
6 Dec - Regular application period closes for May commencement
11 Dec - Commencement
